April 20, 2026

  • Complete settings overhaul with dedicated sections for Appearance, General, Sidebar, Search, Command-Tab, Gestures, License, and About.
  • Launch apps directly from Command-Tab, Control-Space, and the sidebar when the app you want is not already open.
  • New App Shortcuts settings let you bind keys to running apps or installed apps, with activate-if-open and launch-if-closed behavior.
  • Sidebar now includes fuzzy search at the top so it can find both open windows and installed apps from the same panel.
  • Reliable Command-Tab override and Control-Space toggles that no longer break native macOS behavior.
  • Theme sync across settings, Command-Tab, Control-Space, and sidebar with System, Light, and Dark modes.
  • Trackpad haptics while scrolling lists plus cleaner permissions and menu-bar-first behavior.
  • Existing licenses now recover cleanly on the same Mac after reinstalling or updating DashPane.
  • Website downloads are now delivered through a real Apple Developer ID signed and notarized release pipeline for a more trustworthy update path.

v2.0 (10) · CPU and launcher icon fix

April 30, 2026

  • Reduced idle CPU usage by avoiding the full installed-app and icon scan during startup and normal refreshes.
  • Made window refreshes lighter by reusing one macOS window snapshot per refresh.
  • Restored Command-Tab, Control-Space, and sidebar search for apps that are not currently open.
  • Fixed missing icons for closed-app launcher results such as App Store.
  • Reduced license validation fallback polling while preserving real-time revocation checks.

v2.0 (9) · Review prompt and build notes

April 29, 2026

  • Added a post-update review prompt so users can share a quick rating and note after eligible updates.
  • Added manual Add Review entry points in DashPane settings and the menu bar for users who dismiss the prompt.
  • DashPane now shows the build number alongside the version, for example 2.0 (9).
  • Release notes now track each v2 build separately so small fixes are still visible.
  • Admin reviews now live in their own Reviews tab separate from license management.

v2.0 (8) · Multi-window shortcut stability

April 25, 2026

  • Kept shortcuts attached to the intended Chrome or multi-window app window instead of drifting as window order changed.
  • Preserved per-window shortcut bindings across refreshes and upgrades.
  • Removed random fallback keys from window identity tracking so assignments stay predictable.

  • Packaged the first follow-up release for stable per-window app shortcut assignment.
  • Updated the Sparkle appcast and downloadable DMG for the newer v2 build.

  • Improved multi-window shortcut editing in settings with grouped child rows for open windows.
  • Reduced redundant MRU and shortcut refresh churn so DashPane feels lighter during normal use.
